NEW 2024-2025 Executive Board
and few more wonderful volunteers for the below events...

1) We need "YOU" great volunteers to fill the 2024-2025 PTSA President, Treasurer and Secretary positions. To hold an Executive Board position, you must have a student currently enrolled in NLMS and not be a current LSSD employee.
***If you are interested in holding one of these positions... Please reach out to NLMS PTSA, at northlakeptsa@gmail.com, ASAP!!!
2) Donate a dessert to our upcoming Staff Appreciation Luncheon on Thursday - May 9th.

3) Volunteer for the Face Painting table or Otter Pop station during Field Day on Tuesday - June 18th from 11:30-3:00

We Love Our NLMS Volunteers!
They are valued partners in the education of Lake Stevens’ students. We encourage family and community members, as well as local businesses, to consider volunteering. Volunteering is an excellent way to demonstrate to our students the value our community places in their education and their school. For the safety of our students, a background check is part of the online application. Volunteers who work one-on-one with students—with permission from the school principal—must undergo a federal background check and fingerprinting.

After completing the form, you will then receive an email with your approval status. Volunteer applications are valid for two years from the approval date.

Parents serve as role models as they demonstrate the importance of community participation and numerous studies have shown that parent involvement is a protective factor against adolescent tobacco use, depression, eating disorders, academic struggles, and other problems. By staying involved with your child/or teenager, you can be a source of support, create a climate for discussing tough issues, and serve as the most important partner your student will ever have!
